Mobile and Static Table construction
• Table frames are constructed from 40 x 40mm square section 2mm grade quality kite marked steel
• All joints are electro welded with joints typically being 3 times stronger than the actual steel.
• Frames are sand blasted before being acid etched.
Frames are then dried off before being rinsed in demineralised water - then dried of again, before receiving a primer coat prior, to application of the colour finish coat and finally heat treated to approximately 190 deg C to ensure a tough lasting colourful finish. Under the influence of heat the thermosetting paint goes through 4 stages to full cure. MELT, FLOW, GEL, CURE. The final coating is continuous and can be varied from high gloss to flat matt depending on the customer requirement
Why powder coat?
Powder coating produces a high specification coating which is relatively hard, abrasion resistant (depending on the specification) and tough with a large range of colour options. Correctly applied powder coatings, although not metallurgically bonded to the metal will not crack, chip or peel as with conventional paint films.
What Colour?

Mark Finn Laboratory Installations is able to produce power coating in any colour of your choosing. If you need help choosing chose from the Dulux colour range.
The Frame Support Systems
Because the designers at Mark Finn Laboratory Installations know that any item is only as strong as its weakest component part we only install the best table frame supports be they static or mobile.
Static Frames
Because we know all floors are not perfectly level – but you need level stable surfaces to work on.
We have designed our tables to be Height adjustable (typically +/- 20mm).This enables you to ensure that you are working on level stable surfaces. 200 kgs weight limit
Differing environments and requirements require different solutions.

Heavier loads are supported on fully welded 4mm x 40mm square 10mm drilled and flow tapped foot plates. 500 Kgs weight limit
Please note: When calculating your load capacity use this formula: multiply foot loading by number of feet to equal total load minus 1 foot. For example: 4 x 70kgs = 280kgs – 70kgs = actual recommended loading of 210kgs. This load should be equally distributed over table top.
For heavier loads or general enquires please contact Mark Finn with your loadings
Mobile frames
Because we know all floors are not perfectly level – but you need level stable surfaces to work on.
We have designed our Mobiles tables incorporating levelling castors that allow your mobile tables to be height adjustable (typical +/- 20mm). This enables you to ensure that you are working on level stable surfaces.
Differing environments and requirements require different solutions.
Standard mobile frames are typical mounted on four number height adjustable 70 kg load bearing castors 120mm diameter, quality 360 degree swivel, 25mm wide rubber tread castors. The front two castors are lockable via easily applied and released foot lock.
Please note when calculating your load capacity use this formula: multiply castor loading by number of castors equals total load minus 1 castor. For example: 4 x 70kgs = 280kgs – 70kgs = actual recommended loading of 210kgs. This load should equally distributed over table top.
Heavier loads can be accommodated by utilising different castors please contact Mark Finn
